Troubadour Ministry is a Wilmington, Delaware based 501c3 tax exempt organization dedicated to serving our military veterans who have found themselves homeless. From the streets, homeless shelters and government programs we will furnish their homes with new or gently used furniture, brand new beds and bedding. Everything from a chair to forks and knives we bring them all the basic human needs most of us take for granted. Then we stay with them to help connect them to jobs, careers, training, school, church etc. Whatever they need, we endeavor to provide.
Ray Ballou Seemans has been a student of the Bible and dedicated follower of Jesus Christ since 1988, when he got saved at Lakeshore Christian Church in Antioch, TN. He served there for 12 years as a member of the praise and worship team.
Ray is an overcomer. He comes from a broken home riddled with alcoholism, addictions of all kinds, homelessness, debilitating diseases, and a failed marriage before he finally found God at the age of 33. His understanding and compassion for others has grown out of his own pain and experience followed by the grace and mercy shown him by God. His conviction to serve others comes from the love that Christ has shown him and the Word of God that drives him in this ministry.
Pastor Ray founded "Through Me to You Ministries" in Murfreesboro, TN in 2000 to minister to addicts, prisoners in re-entry and the poor with food, shelter, clothing , furniture etc. and always with the love and Word of God. In 2007 he moved with his wife Emmie and two daughters, Christie and Katie, to Delaware to help family take care of Emmie's dying sister. Pastor Ray closed TMTY Ministry in 2009 to focus on family and deeper worship and served as worship leader for several area churches in Delaware. In 2012 he took a management position with a Rescue Mission in Wilmington, DE and served for two years when he received the unmistakable call of God on his life again.
Through these experiences and his close relationship with Jesus, Troubadour Ministry was born! Pastor Ray has stepped up to bring a message of unity in the body of Christ, networking with churches, ministries, missionaries, missions and para-church organizations to gather resources and connect them to the great need in our community. He believes our unified efforts in the Body will strengthen the church, plus show the world what the love of God can do in individuals and community.
Since September of 2013, God, Pastor Ray, and a small but mighty volunteer staff of God fearing, spirit filled, Jesus loving children of God have taken this ministry from divine inspiration to a vital and effective ministry, employing churches and small groups in service projects to feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, discipling the community and advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
